Now, That's Funny!!! Don't Miss Out~

!!  It's that time of year  !!

When it comes to volunteering, there aren't many events here in Cache Valley that use more volunteers than the North Logan Pumpkin Walk, one of everyone's favorite fall events in Cache Valley! Plans for the walk start months in advance with numerous groups~families, businesses, church groups, non-profit groups, even groups of friends~ placing dubs on their favorite movive to go with the theme. That's when the real planning begins~ pumpkins, gourds, rebar, straw, and a whole lot of creativity begins to take shape, and the result is stunning.

The event is free to the public and brings people from all over the state. This year's theme is "Now, That's Funny!" You can go to the Pumpkin Walk either during the day or the evening. The event is held at Elk Ridge Park in North Logan. Parking can be tricky. Because of the huge numbers of people, the parking lot closes at 4:00pm. After that a free bus service is provided from Greenville Elementary (400 East 2500 South) or the Cache Valley Specialty Hospital (2380 north 400 East). The Cache Valley Transit District will run buses every few minutes between the school and Elk Ridge Park.

The displays are SOOOO creative! You can see some of the amazing exhibits from the past by visiting the Pumpkin Walk Gallery or check out last year's walk in the following video.

There are also usually a lot of fun silhouettes and displays to provide some great photo opps for kids of all ages! To top it off, everyone gets some snacks and treats like Pepperidge Farm cookies. You will want to be sure to catch this event . . . and maybe you'll even decide to pull together a group next year to help build a scene or volunteer in one of the other numerous opportunities!
