United Way Honorees

Earlier today we spotlighted our June Volunteer of the Month.  Tasha Engh is such a wonderful example of giving time to change lives.  Aren’t we blessed to live in a community with SO MANY generous people devoted to sharing what they have to make the Cache Valley even better?

Recently, the United Way of Cache Valley recognized three individuals who embody the United Way mission to Give, Advocate and Volunteer in our community.

We would like to offer our congratulations to these outstanding people by sharing some of the reasons United Way chose them to receive such a well-deserved honor:

Dolores Gossner Wheeler, president and CEO of Gossner Food was honored for her support of our local chapters of 4-H and FFA, as well as other youth and charitable organizations in the Cache Valley.

Saboor Sahely, owner of Angie’s Restaurant, "where the locals eat" has made giving back to the community a huge part of his business. Whether it is sitting on the board of a local charity, feeding Cache Valley Thanksgiving dinner, or donating his proceeds to local non-profits, Saboor shares his blessings with those who are in need.

Matt Whitaker, manager of the Cache Community Food Pantry, has served as director of the Food Pantry since June of 2003. With the help of many dedicated volunteers and a generous and caring community, has been able to build a brand new facility that serves the needs of many families and individuals in Cache Valley. He finds great satisfaction in seeing people improve their lives and hearing their success stories.

Thank you all for giving so much to so many!
