KUED Kids Reading Marathon

The@ KUED Kids Reading Marathon and Super Reader Party has moved to spring! The Reading Marathon starts March 1 and runs through March 31! This years theme is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and is sure to be bigger and better than ever.
Are you a Parent, Grand Parent, relative  or just a friend of a child that would love to become a #SuperReader ? Have or help them read 20 mins a day and submit their reading minutes at KUED.org/reading before April 5:KUED.org/kids to receive an invitation to the #SuperReaderParty on April 11th.

Spring is great time to help even the smallest children become involved in learning about the environment changing around them as the season changes from winter to spring. Every community in Cache Valley has access to some sort of Library for you to get books and other learning materials to help facilitate this learning. These libraries may be having their own reading programs you could become involved with.
If you do not have or know children that you could help with reading , your local elementary or middle school is always in need of people willing to read with or listen to children read. Bridgerland Literacy is also an organization in need of reading tutors for adults. Check with your local Senior Citizens Center for other opportunities that Seniors may want or need with reading and literacy.

You don't have to be in a specific program to be involved with helping someone read, just reach out to someone this month that you can share a story or two with. It will be a satisfying opportunity for you and you'll be glad you did.
