December 2015 Winner:
Laura Oppermann of Logan, Utah
Laura Oppermann is congratulated by Logan/Pioneer Financial Center Manager Michael Guthrie and her FPU class coordinator Nibley City Manager David Zook.
"Thank you very much Zions Bank for offering me and others like me such a valuable opportunity to learn important budget and money management skills. I have especially appreciated the discipline required to use cash and set up a clear budget according to what is actually in hand vs. credit available or theoretical expenses. I’m more confident and aware as I make wise decisions about allocating my hard-earned money to help my family feel secure."
I was SUPER excited to learn that the Spring 2015 winner of the $1,000 Emergency Fund was a member of one of the FPU classes sponsored by the Financial Wellness Project. I actually had the privilege of referring Laura to the class. I found about Laura's potential interest in the class when I met former Logan Mayor, Darla Clark, at the Chamber's Women In Business Conference.  Last week I had an opportunity to have lunch with Laura and Darla. What a WONDERFUL chain of events that led to this exciting 'win' for Laura!
We are thrilled for Laura and excited to see who the next winner is. Hoping to have someone from Logan again!!
The next Financial Peace University series starts THIS Thursday, February 11. You can get the details here:  http://www.daveramsey.com/fpu/locations/class/1009411/atid/l_ln
